Well, it's that time of the year where swim clubs around Australia are preparing for sign on and if you haven't thought about it yet - now's the time!
Sign on for the amateur swim clubs who run Term 4 and Term 1 along with competitive swim clubs who run all year round are busy scrambling to make sure everything is ready.
If they haven't done so already, many swim clubs are ordering their swim caps urgently to ensure they can offer a club cap as part of their sign on package. If you are competing together as a team or for a team, it stands to reason that the team should look united.
BUT let's get to the real reason a unique club cap is an essential item.....
The number one reason to owning a club swim cap, which we all know is true, is that a club cap helps the fans (aka parents) spot their swimmer behind the blocks! Those involved in competitive swimming, know that once the athletes are decked out, they all look the same. Trying to find someone and point them out in a crowded warm-up pool is darn near impossible. Deciding which swimmer in a race is the one you should be watching/videoing is a challenge that many have failed (guilty sigh)!
Having a unique club swim cap on can help narrow down the search. Just by looking for a team name or logo, or even a team color makes it easier to spot swimmers on the deck or in the water.
