A House Full of Champions
If you've ever wondered where the name "Miklin" comes from, it's pretty special – it's a blend of Shayne's daughters' names, Mikayla and Caitlin. And trust us, these girls know their sports! Mikayla was swimming internationally before diving into triathlon, while Caitlin was smashing it at representative netball level.
Growing up in a house where sports gear was practically part of the furniture, Shayne got to see the highs and lows of competitive sport from every angle.
The "Enough is Enough" Moment
Picture this: you're volunteering your time on swimming committees, trying to do right by the kids and teams, but the suppliers keep letting you down. Late deliveries, dodgy quality, and that sinking feeling that nobody really gets what teams actually need.
Sound familiar? That was Shayne's reality for years.
One day, after falling in love with working from home during COVID, Shayne had a lightbulb moment: "You know what? Things could be so much better for swim cap suppliers in Australia." And she wasn't wrong!
